I’m CHAPAUKO, a writer and musician from Mainz, based in Berlin. After touring with my band Scampi, I spent a residency in Trencin capturing sounds, tinkering with gear and building sonic worlds with pedals and effects. New songs are being finished now.
I’m CHAPAUKO, a writer and musician based in Berlin, originally from Mainz. I studied music production at SRH Berlin University and have been writing and producing my own music for ten years. After a busy summer touring across Germany with my band Scampi, I went to a residency in Trencin to focus on my solo work and return to what got me into music in the first place: capturing sounds wherever I go, tinkering with new equipment, and building sonic worlds through pedals and effects.
I used my time there to discover new sounds and write songs that are being finished right now. I love that moment where some strange noise in the wild or a hidden effect in Ableton expresses a feeling I could never put into words.
