Roughly to be categorized as indie rock, pan.'s sound makes use of various genres, whilst staying in the broader frame of pop. Calmer, reserved passages, alternate with sphericalish instrumentals and at times angrier, driven moments.
Among the most important influences, both lyrically and musically, are the heroes of modern day indie rock such as Daugther, Interpol, dredg, the National and many, many, many more.
Thematically, pieces revolve around being here and the frustration it sometimes brings.
The constant gaze into the inner mirror and the question of "what could be" resonate subliminal with each tone. The lyrics try to remain indirect and offer the listener space to have a quick glimpse at themselves.
