Wicked Waste is a Berlin-based punkrock band, formed in 2015 in Dresden. All four band members connect a long and close friendship which is the basis for all the bands activities. Although they started as a cover band back then (mostly Green Day songs), they began writing their own songs in 2016. After two weekends of recording and some weeks of mixing they put out their first EP “Coffee & Booze”, which contains their first ever written song “J.N.C” (Jacob Needs Coffee) as well as their only German song “Krieg”. From that time on they started playing smaller shows, had memorable success in several band contests, but also did not neglect the song-writing. In the following of three band members moving to the capital, band practice-activity inevitably stagnated and the few live shows they played became the most effective band practices they had in this time. Nevertheless, in September 2017 they started the recording of their second EP “Fallen From The Sky” at a local independent recording studio. The release date has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be in early 2018. Musically, Wicked Waste’s major influences come from American East-Bay punkrock bands like Green Day and Operation Ivy. Bands like Rise Against and Billy Talent were inspirations as well as early Rock’n’Roll bands such as The Beatles. All in all, Wicked Waste stands for simple, but energetic riffs, melodic and dynamic singing and a powerful stage performance.
